- Famille des cantons de Berne et Soleure.
- Les Ochsenbein sont à l'origine une famille de Soleure qui au moment de la Réforme, en 1529, s'établit dans le canton de Berne ; elle devint bourgeoise de Fahrni prés de Steffisbourg.
- Une branche acquit vers 1809 la bourgeoisie de Morat (Fribourg).

" D'argent au rencontre de boeuf de gueules tenant dans sa gueule deux tibias du même en sautoir. "

- Familie aus den Kantonen Bern und Solothurn.
- Die Ochsenbeins waren ursprünglich eine Familie aus Solothurn, die sich zur Zeit der Reformation 1529 im Kanton Bern ansiedelte; sie wurde Bürgerin von Fahrni bei Steffisburg.
- Ein Zweig erwarb um 1809 das Bürgertum Murten (Fribourg).

" Silbern, beim Treffen eines Ochsen, Rot, der zwei gleiche Schienbeine in Saltire im Maul hält."

- Famiglia dei cantoni Berna e Soletta.
- Gli Ochsenbein erano in origine una famiglia di Soletta, che si stabilì nel cantone di Berna nel 1529 al tempo della Riforma; divenne cittadina di Fahrni vicino a Steffisburg.
- Un ramo acquisito dalla borghesia di Morat (Friburgo) intorno al 1809.

" D'argento all'incontro di un bue di rosso che tiene in bocca due tibie dello stesso in croce di Sant'Andrea ".
