Corpel est le nom d’une ancienne famille de Léon, en Brélez et Plouzané, qui portait " d’argent à 3 piverts de sinople,becqués et membrés de gueules. "(Courcy,volume I, p.292
et pl. XC, n°3 ; Briant, page 72; Dictionnaire héraldique de Bretagne, page 8, 251): dont je rencontre Hamon Corpel, à la référence de Léon en 1445 (Manuscrits. du P. René) ; Amice Corpel, à la petite taille du duc en 1477 (Archives du Finistère A,4); autre Hamon Corpel, à la montre de Léon en 1503 (Fréminville, Antiquités de la Bretagne, Finistère, II, 404) et à celle de 1544 (Mémoire dans la Société académique de Bretagne 1885-1886, page 439) ; — et dont a branche de Brescanvel, s’est fondue dans "Le Roux", puis Pou1lpiquet qui en ont gardé le nom.

and pl. XC, No. 3; Briant, page 72; Heraldic Dictionary of Brittany, page 8, 251): of which I meet Hamon Corpel, with reference to Léon in 1445 (Manuscrits. du P. René); Amice Corpel, to the small stature of the duke in 1477 (Archives du Finistère A,4); another Hamon Corpel, on Léon's watch in 1503 (Fréminville, Antiquités de la Bretagne, Finistère, II, 404) and on that of 1544 (Memory in the Academic Society of Brittany 1885-1886, page 439); — and whose Brescanvel branch merged with "Le Roux", then Poulpiquet, which kept its name.
