- Familia del pequeño pueblo de Carda en Asturias, de donde probablemente esta familia española toma su nombre Cardín.
- El apellido aparece en el archivo parroquial de Carda a finales del siglo XVII, luego a Santiago Apóstol, Valladolid durante el siglo XVIII.

" En plata, una encina, de sinople, acompañada en la diestra por una cabeza de moro y en la siniestra por una bandera, de plata, con una media luna, de azur.
