- François-Joseph-Gui Quifistre de Bavalan, parmis les gentilshommes Bretons, composant l'ordre de la noblesse, convoqués suivant les ordres anciens, pour assister aux États du pays et duché de Bretagne lors de la Protestation de l'Ordre de la noblesse de Bretagne et du Comté Nantais, en 1789.

SAINT-MOLF. A 15 lieues à l'O. N.-O. de Nantes, son évêché ; à 24 lieues de Rennes ; et à 2 lieues de Guérande, jadis sa subdélégation et son ressort.
On y compte 840 communiants en 1836.
L'église et la cure relevaient du roi ; cette dernière était à l'ordinaire.
Le territoire est coupé au N. par un bras de mer, qui procure aux habitants la facilité de faire du sel.
Au S., on aperçoit une immense étendue de landes, dont le sol paraît mériter les soins du cultivateur ; mais comme la plupart des habitants sont marins, pêcheurs ou paludiers, ils négligent l'agriculture, ou l'abandonnent aux femmes qui, quoique très-actives, n'ont point assez de force pour tirer de leur terrain tout le parti qu'on pourrait en attendre.
Les maisons nobles de cette paroisse étaient : le grand et le petit Quifistre, composant, avec la terre de Trélembert, en la paroisse de Mesquer, le mar￾quisat de Becdelièvre ; Clin, avec moyenne justice ; Funsegat, à N..... ; Kerguenec, à M. Le Chauff, et le Bois- de-la-Cour. Cette commune est du canton de Guérande, et du 1. arrondissement.

SAINT MOLF. 15 leagues to the W. northwest of Nantes, his bishopric; 24 leagues from Rennes; and 2 leagues from Guérande, formerly its sub-delegation and its jurisdiction.
There were 840 communicants there in 1836.
The church and the parish depended on the king; the latter was usual.
The territory is cut to the N. by an arm of the sea, which provides the inhabitants with the facility of making salt.
In the S., one sees an immense expanse of moors, the soil of which seems to deserve the care of the cultivator; but as most of the inhabitants are sailors, fishermen or salt workers, they neglect agriculture, or abandon it to the women who, although very active, do not have enough strength to draw from their land all the advantage that one can. could expect.
The noble houses of this parish were: the large and the small Quifistre, composing, with the land of Trélembert, in the parish of Mesquer, the marquisate of Becdelièvre; Clin, with average justice; Funsegat, at N.....; Kerguenec, to M. Le Chauff, and Bois-de-la-Cour. This commune is in the canton of Guérande, and in the 1st arrondissement.
